Today Pastor Ken leads morning worship and Pastor Adam the evening service.
Next Sunday Pastor Tom will lead morning worship, and the service will include the professions of faith of Amy Steenwyk and Megan Yost.
Next Sunday evening, we will hold in our church a combined service with the churches of Classis Grandville, celebrating God’s worldwide church. Rev. Chang Thleng, President of the Reformed Theological College of Myanmar, will preach, and the offering will be received for the seminary.

OFFERING NOTES:
July 11 – Reformed Theological College of Myanmar) is an institution of the Christian Reformed Church of Myanmar. RTCM has approximately 35 students who come down from the mountainous jungles of Northwest Myanmar for their studies. The RGCM exists
to provide trained leaders for the future of the Christian Reformed Church of Myanmar.
July 18 - Mississippi Christian Family Services, Inc. is a ministry to adults with physical and mental disabilities to teach them daily living skills and work skills. It also ministers to children from birth to 6 years in a child development program which prepares them for kindergarten. MCFS also assists community people to manage their resources.

OUR CHURCH IN PASTORAL CARE
Christian sympathy is extended to Lowell and Sandra Slagter in the passing away of Lowell’s sister in Minnesota.
Gert Sytsma has returned to Maple Creek; her health is rapidly declining. On Thursday Nelvina Ilbrink will meet with an orthopedic oncologist to discuss possible further treatment of the breast cancer in her leg. We’re thankful that Pastor Ken is feeling better after being hospitalized in Branson MO for several days last week.
Denae Veldhouse continues to do ministry in Ethiopia and Uganda, Africa, She expects to be home on Friday.
Congratulations to Bob and Suzi (Buiter) Lutke who were united in marriage yesterday, July 3, in our church. May God bless this newly established home.
The congregation is invited to witness the marriage ceremony of Matt Grasman and Nicole Bruin, on Saturday, July 10, at 4 PM in our church.
Our elderly and nursing home residents celebrating birthdays in July are Greta Lindemulder who celebrated her 91st birthday on July 1. She lives at the Laurels of Hudsonville.  Millie Harkema will be celebrating her 94th birthday on July 14. She is able to live at home. You can encourage these ladies by bringing your cards to church and placing them in their mailboxes.
Ida DeJonggreatly appreciated the love and concern expressed by the church family at the occasion of her brother’s passing away.

Everyone is welcome to come at 8:45 AM each Sunday morning to upstairs classroom #208 for an informal time of prayer for our church.
This week’s “Looking at the Hard Questions” Monday class will meet on Tuesday this week due to the 4th of July holiday.
RED HAT LADIES are going to Fire Rock Grille (7177 Kalamazoo Ave. SE) on Monday, July 12. All ladies are welcome to join us. If you are under 50 please wear a lavender top and pink hat, if you are over 50 wear a red hat and purple top. Plan to meet at church at 11:30 AM to drive over together. All PRIME TIMERS, you are invited to VanSolkema’s cottage on Payne Lake for lunch at 12:00, noon, on Thursday, July 15. There will be rides by speed boat or pontoon and you may swim or visit, as you wish. Please bring your lawn chair with you. Cost is $5 and may be paid when you arrive. Annual CHURCH PICNIC will be Wednesday, July 21, 6:30 PM at Douglas Walker Park. Everyone is invited for an evening of good food, fun games and great fellowship. Mark your calendar. A registration form with all the details was in your mailbox. In case of rain, picnic will move to Byron Center Christian School’s East Campus gym. Visitors are invited to attend as well. You will find info/registration forms at the Information Desk in the foyer.

There are several areas of directory production where volunteers are needed. If you could help in any of these areas, please sign up at the table in the foyer.
1.     Appointment Schedulers will be at a table in the foyer each Sunday after the AM and PM services July 11-August 29 to help members schedule appointments (2 needed each service).
2.     Host During Photography Time would greet people coming for their sitting, and host would help photographers complete some pre-sitting paperwork.
3.     Phone Callers would call 15-20 people the day before their appointment as a reminder.
Our church will be participating in this summer’s Byron Festival Days Parade on Saturday, July 31. (Parade starts at 10 AM; lineup is at 9 AM at Nickels Intermediate School parking lot; ends at Brown Elementary School.) We plan to have a decorated vehicle with lots of our adults and kids following on bikes, scooters, in wagons, or walking. There will be flyers for some to distribute along the route as well as candy to pass out. Join this fun way to promote our church and its ministries. (1) If you would like to donate bags of hard candy, put them in the baskets found below the signup table in the foyer. (2) We need about 10 families to commit to participate and assist as “chaperones” and information/candy distributors along the parade route. Please sign up at the table in the foyer.

Rachel Yost will be doing a 4-month mission assignment in Managua, Nicaragua through Chr Ref World Missions August 26 – December 23. To help defray the cost of this mission trip, she is holding a fund raising GARAGE SALE on July 15 & 16 at her home (1771 143rd St., Dorr). Please consider stopping by and purchasing something, but she also would like you to consider donating something from you home that she can sell. If you have something, please call Rachel.
Join others on Tuesday, July 13, for an evening of volunteering at Crossroad Bible Institute! Gather your group or come on your own and be put you to work on the assembly line. Doors open 6-8:30PM. For availability, call 530-1300.
