First Byron FriendsContact person: Karen Silvernail
First Byron Friends is a ministry to special needs people. Once a month participants enjoy outings and activities together, along with adult chaperones who often bring their own children too. They have gone to basketball, football and White Caps games, bowling, swimming, boating, and tubing. Outing are usually on Saturday, late afternoon into the evening. This gives the parents a chance to go out to eat, and the Friends a chance to do something with someone other than their parents/guardians. Chaperoning is a wonderful way to show care and make a special friend.

Sunday Coffee FellowshipContact person: Sarah Rozema
Are your children in Sunday school? Does your spouse sing in choir? Are you interested in getting to know more of our church family? Do you really enjoy home-baked goodies? For any of these reasons and many more, please consider being a part of Coffee Fellowship. Eight to ten people get together for coffee and cookies on the first Sunday morning of every month during the church education hour. Sign up to host a group in your home or to be a guest. A hostess will call you during the week, inviting you to their home. If you are unable to come on a given Sunday, we’ll try again the next month. If you are interested in joining or hosting in this fellowship, sign up at the Coffee Fellowship booth at the ministry fair or call the church office.

A scrapbooking extravaganza is planned for several times this year on Friday nights from 6:00 PM till midnight (October, January and possibly March). Bring your own photos and scrapbook supplies. You can be part of the team to make this the successful event it has become by helping in 3 ways: (1) help with the setup the morning of the event, (2) greet guests as they arrive and help them find a place at a table, or (3) help with cleanup at midnight when the event is over.
Red Hat SocietyContact person: Char Troost
This is for all women, but especially those 50+. We go out for lunch to different restaurants on the second Monday of each month. This is a time of food, fellowship and fun. We are encouraged spiritually by the devotional Diamonds in the Dust by Joni Tada, teaching us to be grateful for the small things in life, but most of all for our salvation in Jesus Christ. If you are 50+ wear a red hat and purple top, younger than 50 wear a pink hat and lavender top.
