Kids Hope knows that kids need a lot of love and care and that none of them come with instruction manuals. Each one is unique and has great value in this world. It is easy for them to lose that when school becomes a challenge for them.
Experts say that every child can benefit from adult mentor relationships. In order for children to succeed in life, in work and as future community members, they need long term relationships with many positive adult role models.
Each mentor in the Kids Hope USA program has been background checked and trained to spend one hour once a week with the children identified to benefit from the program. Mentors are trained to respect church-state separation. Faith is not shared with the children at school. Mentors are simply another voice in the lives of the children to remind them that they are special and have great value in this world.

March 21- Spring Party at South Harbor Church after school
Do you have a 4th grader? First Byron offers GEMS for girls 4th grade through 8th grade on Wednesday nights and Cadets for boys 4th grade through 8th grade on Monday nights. If you have any questions or would like your child to attend, please contact Chris at 437-3213. We provide transportation for those that need it!
