First Byron CRC offers these programs, services and opportunities to fit many needs. They are listed in the hope that you will find several that interest you and that you may enjoy Christian fellowship, the study of God's Word, and the promotion of Kingdom cause.

Basket Ministries

This ministry welcomes visitors, celebrates the birth of babies, encourages sick and shut-ins, college students, military, and friends and neighbors who have a need with the gift of a visit and a basket filled with goodies and surprises.  Gift baskets are also given by our sidewalk counselors to girls deciding for life for their babies.  Women who want the joy of serving others are encouraged to become involved. (Donations of gifts to fill baskets are gratefully accepted from all our members and can be placed in the baskets found under the signup table in the foyer.)

Wednesday Evening Bible Studies

Classes offered by three of our pastors. Pastor Tom leads a study and then duplicates the same study for the Men's Thursday Morning Breakfast. Pastor Adam leads a book club which explores Christianity through story. Pastor Ken leads a class on biblical interpretation, using several books of the Bible. Each study begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings

Adult Education
The 45 minutes of adult education is filled with guest speakers on a variety of topics. Each topic is explored in one to several week presentations during the church’s education hour, starting around 11 AM, in the sanctuary.

Sharing Moments Scrapbooking
A scrapbooking extravaganza is planned for several times this year on Friday nights from 6:00 PM till midnight.

Scheduled Date:  October 21, 2011
                               February 3, 2012

Bring your own photos and scrapbook supplies. You can be part of the team to make this the successful event it has become by helping in 3 ways: (1) help with the setup the morning of the event, (2) greet guests as they arrive and help them find a place at a table, or (3) help with cleanup at midnight when the event is over.
