This December we had our Kids Hope Christmas Party at 1st Byron CRC. I love the parties and a chance to mingle with all the kids and meet the families at dinner! This year we started out with some "minute-to-win-it" games. We did one handed cup stacking and trying to get a cookie from your forehead to mouth (with no hands). Needless to say, it was very exciting and funny!
After that we spent some time in the kitchen decorating cookies for our dinner and then going into the sanctuary to hear "What God Wants for Christmas." Each of the children had an opportunity to dress up as a character from the Christmas story and act it out. The kids all did such a great job! Following that, the children each received their own copy of "What God Wants for Christmas" to take home. They were quite excited.
We then joined our families in the fellowship hall for dinner and some very yummy and beautiful cookies for dessert. A big thank you to the mentors for attending the party and the families for coming out for dinner. It was a great night! Check out the pictures below!!!
