Who We Are
A Vibrant, Reformed Church
As a group of believers who have been forgiven and saved by the blood of Jesus, we seek to fulfill God’s mission in the following ways:
Reaching Up... to God in worship
We have been saved to worship and adore our Lord. We strive for worship that vibrantly expresses our love for God. Our worship climaxes in in-depth Bible teaching and study. We cherish God’s Word.
Reaching In ...to each other through education, fellowship and support
Our church is like a family. Christ calls us to a deep, sacrificial love for one another. “A new command I give you…as I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34). 1st Byron is a community of deep love and care. Together, we walk the road of faith.
Reaching Out ...to others through witness and service
We are committed to being a welcoming congregation. The cross of Christ is our only hope. Because of this we strive to get rid of all pride which would become a barrier to others. We are committed to fulfilling both the Great commission and the Great commandment: “Make disciples of all nations” (Mathew 18:18) and “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27)..
